A little notes on the "Sed" command

Sed is the ultimate stream editor. Here is my favourite tutorial about sed.

  • It's always good to use quotes.
  • The character after the s is the delimiter.Pick one at your convience.
  • -i option will do the changes in place.
  • Use double quotes when you want to interprete some special characters such as environmental variables.
